The third round of public meetings on the Calvert County Comprehensive Plan Update is being held in the winter and spring of 2017. Five workshops will be held, each focused on a different important issue. The fourth workshop focuses on preserving rural character and directing growth and is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the College of Southern Maryland, Prince Frederick Campus, Building B, Room 104, 115 J.W. Williams Road in Prince Frederick. Citizens are encouraged to attend, and we encourage those who want to participate to review the short issue paper, “Preserving Rural Character and Directing Growth to Designated Areas,” which provides background information, summarizes major ideas and suggests possible strategies. Reviewing the issue paper may be helpful before responding to the survey questions. The paper is online at www.co.cal.md.us/FutureCalvert.
